Does your dog love water?  Or maybe he goes crazy for
the vacuum cleaner? Your dog might just be the next
star in Pier Pups, a dog dock jumping event, or Lure
Coursing. In addition to the Agility Fun Match and
Weave Pole Challenge, back this year by popular
demand,  will be the Confidence Course.  If your dog
isn't the sporting type, he or she could  pose for a
professional pet portrait, or visit with the animal
communicator so you can learn what your pet is thinking.

From novice to expert, dogs of all breeds are
encouraged to come to the Expo and sign up to try these
fun activities.
The Expo is also a great place to shop for your pet or pet
loving friends.  Our vendors feature quality products and
services such as doggie bakeries, pet photography,
veterinary services, grooming, training, boarding, pet
related gifts and more.
If you are looking for a new best friend, you might find
him here.  Visit with breed rescue groups dedicated to
re-homing breeds such as Yorkshire Terriers,
Dachsunds, Pugs, German Shepherds, & Golden
Retrievers just to name a few.  Humane Societies and
other organizations that advocate for animals will also be
present.
Watch the areas top trainers demonstrate activities such
as Therapy dogs, frisbee, flyball and a Canine Police Unit.
Demonstrations are entertaining as well as informative.
Over the past 7 years, the Washington County Pet Expo has grown in many ways.  It started in 2005 primarily as an Expo
dedicated to educating the public about quality pet products and services found in the Washington County area.  The Expo
also included demonstrations on grooming, obedience, agility, freestyle and the K-9 police unit, to name a few.
Three years ago the Washington County Pet Expo really took
a leap in a new direction.  In addition to the great vendors
and entertaining demonstrations, the focus was on canine
sports.  We wanted to put the spotlight on canine sports and
the great relationships that develop between people and their
pets during the course of training for these sports.  Activities
like agility, freestyle, lure coursing, flyball, frisbee and dog
dock jumping are a great way for people and their pets to get
exercise, socialize and enjoy time together.
Even if you don't have a dog, or if your dog would just as soon be a couch-potato, the Wisconsin K9 Sport Show will keep
you entertained.  Besides shopping for your pet, perhaps the most enjoyable activity at the Expo is just watching all of
the dogs do their best. All of the events are spectator friendly and the crowd is encouraged to cheer on their favorite
canines.

The Wisconsin K9 Sport Show has grown from a great show featuring the Washington County area to a 2-day pet
extravaganza with vendors and participants from all over the states of Wisconsin & Illinois.
With this in mind, the Expo was designed to allow people the
opportunity to try out these canine sports all in one place.
People can sign up to participate with their dog in several
different events.  For most events, prior experience is
not
necessary and beginners are welcome.  Dogs that are familiar
with the world of canine sports will also have a great time.
It soon became clear that the Washington County Pet Expo extended far beyond the County.  People and vendors
traveled from all over Wisconsin and Northern Illinois to attend the Expo.  So in 2011, the Washington County Pet Expo
made another leap.  To more accurately reflect the unique nature of the event, a new name was adopted.  We are now
the Wisconsin K9 Sport Show!  In addition to a new name, the location has been moved to the Waukesha County Expo
Center to be more centrally located for participants and vendors.
